Like the rest of the world, one of my main pastimes during quarantine has been playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons on my Nintendo Switch. While the game isn’t necessarily challenging or even all that eventful, there’s a certain tranquility that comes along with fishing on the beach or rearranging your island’s flowers for several hours at a time.

As you rack up hours of playtime, you’re bound to develop favorite characters in Animal Crossing, be it adorable Timmy and Tommy, studious Blathers, or one of your island’s many residents. If you want to commemorate your love for Animal Crossing—or just need some inspiration to redecorate your home—here’s the perfect decor accent for you, based on your favorite Animal Crossing personality.
1. Tom Nook-inspired wall art Credit: Reviewed / Naidin Concul-Ticas
What better way to remember how much money you owe Tom Nook than this framed picture to remind you every day.

As much as people complain about Tom Nook’s exorbitant fee schedule, you have to give the man credit—none of this would be possible without him! He’s the one who brought you to your island to begin with, and you can honor him with this framed raccoon print.

The black-and-white portrait is part of the 2018 Simon Te Tai print collection, and the subject has the same smug look as our pal Tom right before he tells you how much your next renovation is going to cost.

2. A cheery mug to greet you each morning—just like Isabelle Credit: Reviewed / Naidin Concul-Ticas
Love waking up to Isabelle's announcements? These cheerful plates will make you just as happy.

Isabelle is arguably Tom Nook’s better half—while not his actual wife, she’s definitely his work wife—and personally, I look forward to her announcements each and every morning. Her bright, happy demeanor is the perfect way to start the day, and you can channel that same positive attitude with this handcrafted mug, which features a yellow interior and a positive, can-do motif on the outside.

Get the Positive Vibes Mug from Anthropologie for $14
3. A super-sweet blanket as an ode to Merengue Credit: Reviewed / Naidin Concul-Ticas
What's sweet like Merengue? This adorable blanket.

It’s easy to see why Merengue is one of the game’s most popular villagers. She’s the cutest rhino I’ve ever seen in my life, and I’ve heard she’s also quite nice—unlike some of the current residents of my own island.

If you can’t get enough of this shortcake-themed character, you’ll love this cozy strawberry blanket. The velvet throw is perfectly plush and has a vibrant pink print, and it would be wonderful to curl up in as you work to further curate your island.

4. Your very own Blathers basket Credit: Reviewed / Naidin Concul-Ticas
Hoo-HOO!

Oh, Blathers. I have a soft spot in my heart for the Animal Crossing museum curator, who’s always so eager to share fun facts about fish, and I’m sure plenty of other players do too. If you’re all about this dapper owl, this Woven Owl Hamper is a must-have for your home. It’s handmade from rattan and includes a removable liner and lid with handle, and it would look right at home in a kids’ bedroom or laundry space.

Get the Woven Owl Hamper from Crate and Barrel for $99
5. Cool cat wall art to remind you of Raymond Credit: Reviewed / Naidin Concul-Ticas
The best way to incorporate cats into your home decor? Wall art.

While I have yet to encounter this character myself, apparently Raymond is all the rage right now. In fact, he’s continuously in the rankings of most popular Animal Crossing villagers—he really is one cool cat.

For those who are serious Raymond stans, you can bring his cool hipster vibes home with this Hip Cat Wall Sign. The print features a variety of felines in various eyewear—just like our friend Ray—and it will add a pop of purr-sonality to your office or bedroom.

6. A toy bag for goodies from Timmy and Tommy Credit: Reviewed / Naidin Concul-Ticas
What's more fun than Timmy and Tommy? Honestly, not much.

Even though Timmy and Tommy are Tom Nook’s apprentices, they’re much cuter and more likable than the boss man. Given their loveable personalities, it’s only fitting that they’re represented by a sweet raccoon toy bag. The canvas bag is the perfect spot to store toys, laundry, blankets, blocks, and more—basically anything you might buy from Nook’s Cranny!

Get the Rizzi Raccoon Toy Bag from Wayfair for $22.99
7. Wallpaper that’s almost as fabulous as Audie Credit: Reviewed / Naidin Concul-Ticas
This picture is almost too cool.

Audie is another highly sought-after resident, thanks to her stylish appearance, peppy personality, and endearing backstory—rumor has it she was named after the grandmother who spent more than 4,000 hours playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

While Audie’s own home is decorated with a more tropical theme, I think this Fox and Hare wallpaper is a stylish way to pay homage to this new Animal Crossing villager. It comes in five trendy hues, and it would make a lovely accent wall in your bedroom or bathroom.

8. A fabulous Diana-approved armchair Credit: Reviewed / Naidin Concul-Ticas
OK why is Diana so much prettier than me, tho?

Diana is totally the Regina George of Animal Crossing, and not to brag but she totally lives on my island. One time she gave me the DIY recipe for the Ironwood Kitchenette I’d been seeking for weeks—beautiful and generous.

If you’re equally enamored with this regal deer, you’ll understand why this Menagerie Deer Armchair is the perfect home decor accent to represent her. Each hand-carved piece is one-of-a-kind, just like Diana, and they have a quiet elegance that’s almost magnetic.

Get the Handcarved Menagerie Deer Armchair from Anthropologie for $998
9. A bean bag chair that’s as whimsical as Judy Credit: Reviewed / Naidin Concul-Ticas
This bean bag chair is as colorful as Judy.

To be honest, Judy reminds me of a Build-a-Bear plushie that I owned growing up, with her blue, pink, and purple fur and glittering eyes. Her looks are so adorable that people are willing to overlook her snooty personality, and if you want to make your home into a whimsical Judy-land, you should immediately buy this Unicorn Faux-Fur Bean Bag Chair. The faux fur slipcover is a rainbow of pretty pastel shades, and you can choose to receive just the slipcover to makeover an existing bean bag chair or both the slipcover and insert.

Get the Unicorn Faux-Fur Bean Bag Chair Slipcover from PB Teen for $139
10. A planter for all the flowers Leif brings you Credit: Reviewed / Naidin Concul-Ticas
I need more flowers, Leif!

While Leif’s clown-like face gave me pause at first encounter, this loveable sloth has quickly become one of my favorite Animal Crossing characters. Seriously, what will it take to get him to set up shop permanently on my island?!

Until that day comes, I’m going to pretend this sloth hanging planter is my very own Leif. It has the same happy eyes, and you could definitely plant some colorful pansies in it.

Get the Sloth Hanging Planter from Urban Outfitters for $18
11. A doll that looks suspiciously like Coco Credit: Reviewed / Naidin Concul-Ticas
Coco isn't the cutest character, but she's still pretty cool.

From what I hear, Coco is actually quite nice, but I definitely wouldn’t want to run into her in a dark alley. I mean, the resemblance between Coco and this voodoo doll is uncanny, and if she’s your favorite character, this is probably the type of thing you’d be into. It even comes with pins and spells!

Get the Mekabre Loa Voodoo Doll from Amazon for $26
12. Quirky accent wallpaper to remind you of Mabel Credit: Reviewed / Naidin Concul-Ticas
Mabel is quirky and fashionable—just like this wallpaper.

All I’m saying is that Sonic could never. Mabel is another endearing vendor who will regularly stop by your island, and if you love this fashion-savvy hedgehog, you can decorate a whole room in her honor with this quirky wallpaper. It comes in both dark and light blue variants, and the self-adhesive sheets can be applied without any extra paste.

Get the Spoonflower Textured Peel and Stick Wallpaper Panel from Wayfair for $4.42/sq. ft.
13. A serene sky scene for Celeste Credit: Reviewed / Naidin Concul-Ticas
Quick—look up and make a wish!

If you told me I had to choose between Blathers and his sister Celeste, I don’t know if I could do it! Both these owls are fan favorites, and Celeste is known for showing up during meteor showers. As such, it’s only appropriate to honor her with this calming night time scene. The print is available in three sizes with four frame options, and while it’s supposed to be artwork for children, I would totally hang it in my bedroom—no shame.

Get the Minted Moon and Owl Wall Art from Pottery Barn Kids for $60
14. A welcome sign for the Animal Crossing idol, K.K. Slider Credit: Reviewed / Naidin Concul-Ticas
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the sounds of K.K. Slider while you stare at this fabulous plaque.

Everyone in the Animal Kingdom universe is obsessed with the musician K.K. Slider, a guitar-playing dog who will host a concert at your island once your rating is high enough. He’s kind of a Big Deal, so you’ll definitely want to welcome him into your home—and your heart—with this funny welcome sign. He’s always welcome on the island… unlike certain humans, who stop by only to break your rocks. (Yes, I’m talking to you, Alaina.)
